Veterinary Surgeon Team
Dr Chris Reichmann TA MRCVS
Chris was born and grew up in Munich. He qualified from Munich Vet School in 1996 and started to work in the UK soon after. He spent 7 years in a mixed practice in Rye before moving to Manchester for a short period. He then worked in Dover and Canterbury for a few years before joining up with Julie to open White Cliffs Veterinary Surgery in 2010.
He lives on his little smallholding outside Ashford, where he keeps sheep, pigs, bees and all kinds of birds. He shares the house with 6 cats (at the last count), some rescues, some home bred.
In his spare time Chris plays tennis or gardens and tries to build a new home at the same time as keeping the smallholding under control. Chris has an interest in minor orthopaedic surgery and ultrasonography.
Dr Julie Culver BVETMED MANZCVS (Veterinary Behaviour) MRCVS
Julie graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2002 having taken a rather unorthodox route to becoming a vet! She originally trained as a Jewellery Designer and spent her twenties in London working for some of the large diamond houses. She made the decision to become a Vet in 1995.
After graduating, Julie returned to Kent and currently lives in her home village of Eastry with her husband John, dogs Dora, Lily (both Labradors) and Harry the Miniature Dachshund. She also has five cats (no it was not ever meant to be five!) Sulley, Henry, Dave and new recruits Ted and Lolly.
In December 2010 she opened White Cliffs Vets with Chris where they could offer the kind of veterinary medicine, care and service that they are both passionate about.
In 2014 Julie gained an award in Veterinary Behaviour with Sydney University to become a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists.
Dr Susanne Bishaey TA MRCVS
Susanne qualified from Hanover University in Germany in 2006. She practiced in Germany for 8 years in a small animal hospital that also dealt with exotic species. After this Susanne came to the UK to work for the PDSA where she practised for 5 years, during this time she saw a variety of cases and performed a wide range of surgical procedures and emergency work. Susanne has a particular interest in emergency medicine and can sometimes be found working night shifts at the emergency vets in Canterbury. Susanne is also passionate about medicine and is up to date with all the latest treatments available.
Susanne is married and lives in Canterbury with her husband and little boy.
